The 2020 annual meeting of Sino-British cooperation in running schools held online

On January 17th, the annual meeting of Sino-British cooperation in running schools between Shandong Agricultural University (SDAU) and Royal Agricultural University (RAU) was held online. Both parties summarized the operations of the two projects and reached a consensus on how to improve quality and deepen cooperation further.                    

Vice president Zhang Ran of SDAU vividly introduced SDAU’s “struggle stories” and “amazing achievements” in terms of disciplines, technological innovation, international exchanges and cooperation between the two universities over the past year. She expressed gratitude for the teachers, students and employees of both sides who have successfully completed various tasks. She hoped that the two universities would continue to work hard to yield more cooperation fruits.

Professor Neil Ravenscroft, the vice president of RAU, said in his speech that RAU attached great importance to the cooperation with SDAU. He highly appreciated the smooth operations of the projects despite the COVID-19 pandemic and showed confidence in the future cooperation between the two universities.

The deans of the two projects delivered annual reports respectively. A detailed and systematic survey and analysis was made for each course and each teacher. They also put forth specific suggestions on improvements. The person in charge of China Office of RAU introduced the teaching management and some matters relevant to the upgrading of the land resources management project into dual degrees.

In 2020, a total of 246 students graduated from the projects, 43 students went abroad for further studies, 86 students were admitted as master's degree candidates, and 93 signed with well-known companies. 249 freshmen were recruited. 21 RAU teachers completed 29 online courses.
