On January 10, SDAU and RAU (Royal Agricultural University) of the UK held the 2022 Annual Meeting of Sino-British Cooperation in Running Schools online to summarize the work of 2022 and further improve the quality of the programs. 

At the meeting, Vice President of SDAU, Prof. Xiangdong Li introduced the excellent achievements of the university in discipline construction, personnel training, scientific research and international exchanges in the past year, and spoke highly of the achievements of the Sino-British programs. He hoped that the two universities will work together to improve the quality of teaching, build demonstration projects for Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools, strengthen scientific research cooperation and exchanges between faculty and students, and continue to enhance the depth and level of cooperation in 2023, so as to promote a higher quality development of the programs.

Prof. David Main, Vice Chancellor of RAU, said in his speech that RAU and SDAU have been cooperating for 20 years. Thanks to the cooperation and hard work of the faculty, students and staff of the two sides, a large number of outstanding talents have been cultivated. He was proud of the achievements of the two programs in recent years and hoped that the two sides could work together to make new contributions to the development of global higher education.

The directors of the two programs on food quality and safety and land resource management summarized and analyzed the operation of the programs from the aspects of enrollment, online teaching, teaching evaluation and graduate employment, and put forward the direction of further efforts. The director of China Office of RAU introduced the teaching management of UK and the operation of the double degree courses and EAP courses.

In 2022, a total of 252 students graduated from the two programs, 105 of whom were admitted to universities at home and abroad for further study. The enrollment reached a new high of 273 freshmen. 18 British teachers successfully completed the teaching tasks of 27 courses.The major of food quality and safety passed the evaluation of the Ministry of Education, the evaluation of land resource management was carried out orderly, and the extension application of the two programs was successfully completed.
