A SDAU project funded by 2022 China-CEE Countries University Joint Education Project

Recently, the China Education International Exchange Association of the Ministry of Education released the list of 2022 China-CEE Countries University Joint Education Project. The SDAU project Research on the mechanism of wheat tolerance to high temperature and drought stress and the creation of resistant germplasm based on phenomics” was approved.
     The project is presided over by Prof. Yang Xinghong of the College of Life Sciences, relying on the scientific research cooperation between SDAU and the Slovak Agricultural University. It will focus on improving the adaptability of wheat to drought and high temperature, increasing wheat yield and achieving high and stable yield. The research will carry out wheat phenotypic analysis and screening and identification of resistant germplasm to high temperature and drought stress.
    It is understood that with the support of the Ministry of Education, the China-CEE University Association was established in September 2014. The association is committed to building a platform for cooperation and exchange between China and CEE universities. Its members include more than 30 universities from 15 CEE countries and more than 200 Chinese universities. China-CEE Countries University Joint Education Project is an important funding project to jointly carry out educational cooperation based on the platform of China-CEE University Association and CEE universities. Two SDAU projects have been approved in two consecutive years, which has strongly promoted the construction of Research Center of Exchanges and Cooperation between Shandong Province and CEE Countries, and promoted international exchanges and cooperation between SDAU and universities in CEE countries.
