On May 15th, SDAU held an experience-sharing session titled "Chasing Dreams Abroad, Setting Sail for the Future" featuring outstanding students who had studied overseas. Vice President Lin Hai attended the event.

Lin Hai affirmed the significance of studying and visiting abroad for students' growth, pointing out that through experiences at international conferences, overseas classrooms, and international organizations, he had witnessed the responsibility and vigor of agricultural university students, as well as their dynamic posture in riding the global waves. He stated that in the context of globalization, international exchanges are an important avenue for teachers and students to enhance their abilities and broaden their horizons. The university will encourage teachers and students to go global, showcase their talents on the international stage, and become versatile talents with a sense of national identity, an international perspective, and global competence.

Researcher Sun Huawei from the University of California, Davis introduced the educational situation and international programs at UC Davis. The university ranks first in the United States in agriculture, boasts a diverse cultural environment and a stable campus, and shares similarities with Shandong Agricultural University in educational models and talent cultivation. He welcomed teachers and students from Shandong Agricultural University to visit and exchange at UC Davis.

During the session, six outstanding students who had returned from studying abroad shared their experiences in course learning, scientific research, and more in English, providing valuable insights for fellow students, igniting their interest in "chasing dreams abroad", and inspiring their aspirations and plans for the future.
