Recently, the 2025 Annual Conference of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) University was held in Urumqi, with education officials and peers from China, Russia, Kazakhstan, and other three SCO member countries attending. President Leng Changjian of SDAU was invited to participate and delivered a keynote speech titled "Strengthening the Integration of Science, Industry, and Education to Promote Higher-Level International Cooperation".

In his speech, President Leng introduced our university's experiences in promoting internationalized education through the integration of science, industry, and education. This includes leveraging talent cultivation as a driving force to create a highland for innovative talents, utilizing scientific and technological innovation to build a global network of industry-university-research collaboration, and fostering a sustainable ecosystem for international cooperation through the integration of industry and education. These efforts have effectively enhanced our university's competitiveness in international education. Looking ahead, SDAU will continue to advance the integration of science, industry, and education, anchoring itself in an international development path. We aim to enable talents to engage with the world, bring scientific research achievements to the international market, and involve industry-education integration in global industrial division, leveraging more international resources to promote mutual learning among civilizations and human progress.

During the stay in Xinjiang, SDAU signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Xinjiang Agricultural University to carry out in-depth cooperation in multiple fields. In addition, SDAU delegation conducted a field study at the Shandong Expressway Xinjiang International Logistics Industrial Park, also known as the SCO Demonstration Zone Xinjiang Sub-park, and held discussions with Shandong enterprises stationed in Xinjiang on topics such as talent cultivation and scientific and technological innovation in universities to better serve the "Belt and Road Initiative". SDAU joined the SCO University project institutions this year and is committed to serving the construction of modern agriculture within the SCO University framework, cultivating high-level talents in modern agriculture for SCO member countries.
